CULVER CITY PARK
A silent disco journey of movement, reflection, connection & a little moonlight magic.
As summer begins to soften into fall, we’re gathering under the Harvest Moon to slow down, look at what we’ve grown, and make a little room for whatever wants to grow next.
Join You Are Hear for a silent rave journey through Culver City’s green space.
We begin with a picnic-style meet-up at the Culver City Park playground then flow together up the hillside to a scenic overlook with breathtaking views of Los Angeles during sunset. After a rest of guided mindfulness exercises, we flip the switch and embrace the dark, raving all the way back down.
Come with friends or come by yourself. There will be room for you here.
This is more than just a rave… this is a rebirth of the self.
Note this is an earlier time than our usual events so we can take advantage of the sunset and have a day/night feel.
OPTIONAL Picnic Meetup starts at 4:30pm.
All guests for the main event must arrive by 5:30pm. We take off dancing at 6:00pm sharp.
YOUR GUIDE THROUGH NATURE AND CONNECTION TO THE MUSIC
This experience of reconnection and grounding is led by Megan Allen (she/they), whose custom mix will have us dancing across meadows, through the trees, and to unprecedented heights (no hiking experience needed).
Important Information

You Are Hear silent disco experiences combine the magic of everyone listening to the same beats through headphones with the immersive adventure of choreographed routes twisting and winding through some of the most iconic locales and neighborhoods around Los Angeles.
Our experiences consist of two 45-60 minute acts where we dance through streets, alleys, parks, plazas, and other hidden nooks to music mixed to match the theme and our location in the route. Parts of our journey involve traveling while other times we pause in an area to let dancers get down or explore. In between acts is a 20-30 minute intermission at a landing spot so guests may use restrooms, get a drink, or take a breather.
Come as you are, whether that is in a t-shirt and jeans just bobbing your head along, or throwing on a wild costume and dancing your heart out. However you show up, we'll appreciate you and match your energy.
All attendees receive a pair of wireless headphones for the duration of the event at our starting location where dancers can mingle with each other.
The event start time is when guests may start to arrive at the starting location. Please arrive no more than 30 minutes after the time on your ticket to avoid being left behind. Plan ahead for traffic and parking conditions.

Please arrive by 5:30pm, no later than 30 minutes prior to event start. You must have time to check in, get briefed, and use restrooms. Out of respect for other attendees, we must stay on time.

There is ample parking along the streets in Culver City Park. Since we are starting and ending at the playground, we recommend snagging a metered spot along Duquesne Ave. You will only have to pay up until 6:00pm—after that parking is free and there are no other restrictions.

🌕 Dancing under the moon
You don’t need to be “spiritual.”
You don’t need to know how to meditate.
You definitely don’t need to know how to dance.
You just need to show up as you are.
If you’re not arriving early to attend the picnic, please make sure to get to the starting location no later than 5:30pm.

🌱 GROUND
Come back to yourself. Take a breath. Feel the earth underneath you. What has kept you rooted? What are you ready to put down?
🌿 GROW
Honor the person you’re becoming. Plant an intention for the season ahead and give some love to the parts of you still figuring it out.
✨ GLOW
Call something in. Joy. Love. Abundance. Courage. Creativity. Peace. Whatever you need a little more of, wear it, write it, dance it and let yourself take up some space.
🌕 HARVEST
And don’t forget to look back for a moment.
What did you grow?
What made it through the season with you?
What deserves to be celebrated?
As the sun goes down and the moon comes up, we’ll put on our silent disco headphones and take everything we’ve planted with us into a curated journey of music, movement and storytelling.
We’ll dance. We’ll wander. We’ll reflect. We’ll let some shit go.
And maybe we’ll leave glowing a little differently than we arrived.
-
We would love to see you dress like you’re about to ground in, glow up, or get completely lost in the rhythm of the Earth. That said, come as you are, even if that means a t-shirt and jeans.
Wear the energy you’re calling in.
